Women’s captains and league leadership worked through the night pattern, Sunday limits, late starts, travel, parity and the package needed to deliver a stronger Women’s Division.

Meeting summary

Women’s captains and league leadership had a direct, positive conversation about what would make the division work. There was strong alignment around a dependable Wednesday schedule, fewer Sundays, fairer late-start distribution, separate East and West play, and one clear package without scheduling upsells. The discussion also reinforced a shared commitment to ongoing captain leadership through a new Women’s Captain Advisory Committee.

Current availability update: The block on starts at 11:00 p.m. or later for the full regular season may be offered separately at $250 plus HST after league review and confirmed capacity. Other paid scheduling add-ons do not apply to Women’s or 35+ teams.

The main Ottawa town hall covered the league transition, package model, regional options, standings, scheduling and next steps for captains.

Meeting summary

Tyler and the team walked through the move from the former OSAHL to a new league run independently by Eizen, and explained the pricing plainly: the economics of running the league changed first, and the packages exist to give teams choice inside that new reality. Pre-registration was extended to August 31 so captains have time to watch, talk to their teams and decide. The session covered the package model (Flex, Regional Priority and Regional Guarantee), how East and West fit inside one Ottawa league, standings rules built for parity and the captain tools meant to cut admin work. Tyler noted the league is launching under a working name while the permanent brand is finalized, and committed to follow-up emails, more town halls and open feedback channels for captains.

The 2026-27 Women’s Division package

$7,275

Pre-HST per team

The 2026-27 Women’s Division package is $7,275 pre-HST. It includes 22 regular-season games and 2–8 playoff games in a double-elimination format, an East or West regional guarantee and no city championship. The weekday arrangements and late-start limits below are included in the package.

Built for the Women’s League

A Women’s package shaped by Women’s captains.

After the town hall, we are excited to work toward a new league identity shaped by the leaders of these Women’s teams. This package is exclusive to the Women’s format. The previous Regional Guarantee package was $7,595 pre-HST. The final registration price, with no city final, is $7,275 pre-HST. It is the final Women’s price, and the Open-division early-bird pricing does not apply on top of it.

What is included

  • 22 regular-season games
  • 2–8 playoff games in a double-elimination format
  • Choose an East or West regional guarantee, with no playoff crossover
  • Separate East and West finals, with no city championship
  • Wednesdays, with no more than three Sunday regular-season games
  • No more than three games starting at 11:00 p.m. or later
  • Each team’s average start time kept within 10% of the Women’s League average
  • A new Women’s Captain Advisory Committee

More support means a better Women’s league experience.

A presenting partner has stepped up and will be unveiled with the new logo and league launch. As promised at the town hall, any additional sponsorship will be put back into the Women’s Division through captain perks, discounts, team prizing and more.

Every team chooses an East or West regional guarantee. If your team may be open to occasional games in the other region, let us know in the registration flow. This is optional and helps us understand where additional scheduling flexibility may exist. It does not change your price, your guarantee or your placement.
