35+ teams register with the same Flex, Regional Priority and Regional Guarantee packages as the Open divisions, at the same prices, with no day-of-week surcharge. Lock in by August 31 for the one-time OSAHL transition early-bird pricing.

A candid note on the transition
The package is decided. The schedule is not, yet.
Ottawa Rec Hockey is now responsible for operating and growing the league, but it does not own or operate the facilities. The economic and operating model therefore differs from prior seasons.
The 35+ packages, prices, game count and playoff format are decided, and there is no day-of-week surcharge. The weekday structure is deliberately not locked yet. Thursday-primary with up to three Sundays is the proposed plan, and we would rather confirm it with 35+ captains than hardcode it before the town hall.
The town hall settles the weekday split, the Sunday allowance, the start-time tradeoff and whether the playoffs end with a City Championship. Locking in now locks your package and price. The final night structure follows the session.

Proposed, confirmed at the town hall
Thursday-primary, up to three Sundays.
The season will start during the week of September 20, 2026. The proposed structure is Thursday-primary with a maximum of three Sunday games. That is the plan we are bringing to the 35+ town hall, not a final promise yet. Captains may lock the package and price before the town hall or wait until after it, with the August 31 early-bird deadline unchanged. Scheduling preferences are accommodated to the best of our ability. For anything that requires a guarantee, please contact us directly.

The 2026-27 35+ packages

35+ teams choose Flex, Regional Priority or Regional Guarantee. Lock in by August 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern and the one-time OSAHL transition early-bird pricing applies to the regional packages, with no team-history paperwork.

- Flex$6,995 pre-HST. Citywide eligibility, best value. No early-bird discount applies to Flex.
- Regional Priority
$7,295$7,095 pre-HST early-bird. At least 17 of 22 games in your region, max five cross-city. - Regional Guarantee
$7,595$7,395 pre-HST early-bird. Regular season and conference playoffs in your region.
Early-bird prices apply to registrations locked in by August 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. After the deadline the standard prices apply. 22 regular-season games and 2–8 playoff games are included either way.
The block on starts at 11:00 p.m. or later for the full regular season may be offered separately at $250 plus HST after league review and confirmed capacity. Other paid scheduling add-ons do not apply to Women’s or 35+ teams.
Facilities are a constraint
Ottawa Rec Hockey can plan the league, but facility ownership and ice availability sit outside the league. The final ice allocation shapes exact dates and start times.
The format matters
22 regular-season games and 2–8 playoff games are decided. The weekday split, Sunday count, start-time tradeoff and whether the 35+ playoffs end with their own City Championship game are the questions the town hall settles. Placement and parity are shaped by participation and the competitive-balance details captains share at lock-in.

The weekday split
Whether Thursday-primary stays the final structure, and how the week is split if it does not.
Sunday games
How many Sunday games, if any, the division carries. The proposed maximum is three per team.
The start-time tradeoff
Thursday-only squeezes the division into fewer weekly slots, which pushes average start times later. A few Sundays spread games earlier. The town hall weighs that tradeoff openly.
A 35+ City Championship?
The 35+ playoffs are 2–8 playoff games in a double-elimination format. Whether the ending includes a City Championship game is decided with captains.
Holiday breaks
Which league-wide breaks and blackout windows the division plans around, including the holiday stretch in late December.
